In January 2009, Hope Church started partnering with Mountain Top Ministries in Haiti to impact their community and our congregation.
For over 10 years, Mountain Top Ministries has been an organization by Haitians, for Haitians, to make a difference in their country in the present, and for eternity. Their work includes a church, a medical clinic, an orphanage, and two schools, which have over 1,500 students. Over 180 households at Hope Church personally support a student at an MTM school, as they raise up a next generation of Christian leaders for their country. In the past 3 years, over 50 people from Hope Church have been to Haiti, and Hope Church and its families have given over $100,000 to support MTM's mission. Willem Charles, founder and leader of Mountain Top Ministries, has guest-preached at Hope Churchonce in each of the past 3 summers.
We have a group of 12 men and boys from our church going to Gramothe, Haiti in March 2012 to work alongside a family in that mountian village, as they build a new home for them togther. On Christmas Eve, our congregation together raised funds to pay for the construction materials.
