Senior Pastor - Matt Collins

Matt (collins@ehope.org) grew up in a Catholic family with five brothers in western New York. In high school, he went with some friends to a Bible study. While there, the gospel was shared, and he asked Jesus Christ to be his Savior and Lord. He and his wife Carol are parents to five boys ranging in age from 12 to 24. He has served as the lead pastor at Hope Church for 13 years. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Pastor of a Baptist Church in upstate New York for 9 years. He has a Doctorate in Ministry from Grace Theological Seminary, a Masters in Divinity from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, and an Undergraduate Degree from Moody Bible Institute, in Chicago.

Executive Pastor - Darrell Cloud

Darrell (cloud@ehope.org) joined Hope Church in June 2008, after having served at Compass Church in Naperville, IL for 6 years. He is originally from Orange County, CA, but moved to the Midwest for college. He has a BA in Biblical Theology from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He is married to Laura and they have a son, Judah.

Administration - Jennifer Clarke

Jennifer (jennifer@ehope.org) joined the staff at Hope in Feb 2009, but has been attending since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She worked for several years for John Deere in project development. She was active in several lay leadership roles at Hope Church before joining the staff. She and her husband Dave have 3 children, Lindsey, Hayley, and Logan.

Adults Pastor - Lorin Staats

Lorin comes to Hope Church with a passion to see God’s people getting connected and growing. He has
served in numerous places overseas, including most recently in China. His pastorates in the US
have been in Rochester, Minnesota and Milwaukee, Wisconsin (his hometown). His has a Masters
of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from
Regent University in Virginia. He and his wife, Lisa, have two college-age daughters, Beth and Emily.

Early Family Ministries - Laurie Weinschenk

Laurie has been attending Hope Church since 2006, and had volunteered in our children's ministry for 2 years, before joining the staff in Sept 2011. She lived the previous 7 years in Las Vegas, but was born and raised in Dubuque. She has been married to Geoff, and has one son, Nick who is married to Kim, and a granddaughter Madison.

Elementary Children - Darcie Zelle

Darcie (darcie@ehope.org) has been on staff since January 2011. She has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois. Darcie worked several years as a public school teacher, and has been involved in Children’s Ministry since her youth. Darcie and her husband, Mark, have four children: Matt, Brett, Bailey, and Teagan.

Facilities - Jeff & Gloria Gaber

Jeff & Gloria Gaber have been at Hope since 2006. Gloria oversees our custodial and facilities teams. She has previously worked at Clarke College, while Jeff works at AY McDonald Manufacturing. Jeff is a member of the Colesburg Fire Department, and works for the Iowa Fire Training Bureau as a Fire Fighter Instructor. The Gabers have three daughters: Jackie, Kayla, and Sarah, and two grandchildren, Natalie and Mason.

Mindframe Campus Pastor - Mark Smith

Mark (mark@ehope.org) joined the staff at Hope in June 2011, but has been attending since 2008. He has a Master's Degree in Communication from the University of Dubuque. For the past eight years, Mark has worked at the University of Dubuque in the Student Life Department. Mark and his wife, Emily, have three children Lillie, Titus, and Toby.

Mindframe Campus Early Family - Bethany Redmond

Bethany (bethany@ehope.org) joined the Hope Church staff in January 2010. She studied at the University of Dubuque, where she received an Elementary Education degree. Bethany has always been passionate about working with young children and has been very involved in children's ministry throughout the years. Bethany is married to Dave, and they have a young son and daughter, Liam and Grace.

Mindframe Campus Elementary Min - Greg Deutmeyer

Greg (greg@ehope.org) is a Dubuque native and has been attending Hope Church since 2007. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special Education from Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. Greg has worked as a public school special education teacher for the last three years. Over the last year Greg has volunteered as a teacher and lay leader in children’s ministry. He and his wife Christy, have two young children Hannah and Caleb.

Office - Sherri Welter

Sherri (office@ehope.org) has been attending Hope Church since 2007, and joined the staff in 2009. Sherri has an Associate Business Degree, and has worked in several offices before joining the Hope staff. Sherri and her husband Dave have 5 children: Lindsay, Eric, Erik, Mackenzie, and Triston.

Students Pastor - Nelson Jenkins

Nelson (nelson@ehope.org) has been in student ministry since 1993. He came to Hope Church in September 2009, after serving at another church in upstate New York. He has a undergrad degree in Bible and Camping Administration from Grace University in Omaha, NE, and a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Northeastern Seminary. Nelson and his wife, Susie, have 4 children: Jessica, Christian, Tyler, and Stephanie.

Worship Arts - Michelle Schulte

Michelle (michelle@ehope.org) has been on staff at Hope since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Music from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and a Master of Music from Arizona State University. She has 15 years of ministry experience; she has also taught piano to hundreds of students, and acted as a solo artist and accompanist in a variety of settings. Michelle is married to Chad, and they have a young son, Joshua.
