My mother was stuck at home all day because the delivery company delivering her cancer medications, told her she had to be there to sign for the package and it would be there sometime between 8am and 6pm.

Stay home...
don’t work...
don't make any plans...
or do anything until we decide to arrive.
It seems customer service is a thing for the 1980’s not today as much.
I get upset about that but then I ask myself, do I treat people the same way? That their time is less valuable than mine.
As frustrating as that day was, as I tried to track down my mom’s package, it made me think about, do I do that to those around me. Do I treat people that way in my everyday life? Do I think about what they are going through? The question I often ask myself is “What’s their story?” Everyone has a story. The homeless person holding a sign outside Walmart, the lady serving my lunch, the driver who just cut me off.
They all have stories and I should be willing to take to time to learn what those stories are whenever possible.
As Christians we should be in the business of customer service. Putting others before ourselves. The Bible tells us to love God and love others.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! -Philippians 2:3-8
Jesus set the example for us
I have always said if I owned a business it would be 100% based on making the customer # 1. This is why I don't own a business I guess. Plus the fact that there is not a huge market for a death ray machine to kill the 1 footed sock monster who always steals only 1 sock of a pair in my dryer. I may be taking this out of context but when the verse says the 2 shall become 1, I think it is referring to 2 socks going in a dryer and only 1 coming out.
Customer service should be about putting others first. True Christianity should be the same.
