The "front door" of our church, the way we met people, used to be the LITERAL front door… and people got there by being verbally invited or maybe the yellow pages. Yellow pages, what are those? Google it!

Today people find us on the internet. We meet new people at church every weekend, and just about 100% of them Googled us, watched us online or saw a friend’s post before they came to us.


Why does this information matter?


"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20a


If we are to take part in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20a), we need to realize that our mission field can also be online! Digital disciples.


There are simple things you can do to help someone take one step closer to God and finding community in our church. Here’s a list of ideas:

  • Share our Podcast sermons with a friend. Find us on Spotify, Apple and Google Play

  • Leave us a 5 star review on Google (highly rated churches get more visibility)

  • Subscribe to us on YouTube, youtube.com/hopechurchdbq and share our stories

  • Invite someone to like our Facebook Page

  • "Like" our YouTube videos

  • Invite someone to join our Facebook Group

  • Share the service live stream or Night of Worship live stream

  • “Recommend us” on Facebook

  • Share one of our Facebook events and invite friends

  • Share our YouTube channel on Social

  • PM a friend and invite them to church

  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @hopechurchdbq

  • Invite a friend over and watch the Sunday live stream together… or watch it on a Thursday afternoon, you pick the time!

  • Tag us in your social posts @hopechurchdbq

  • Take a pic at church and upload it to our Google listing (this has a HUGE impact on Google analytics)

  • Invite a friend to watch a “Chat with Matt” online on Wednesday nights

  • Post on social, pics of you/family at church and talk about your “why”


So, liking a YouTube video can get people closer to God? Yes. Anytime you interact with Hope Church’s content online, Google analytics thinks more people should see it! And more people need Jesus!
