Elder Highlight: Matt Anderson

Hi Hope Church,

My name is Matt Anderson and I serve on the Elder Board at Hope Church. My wife (Katie) and I have been attending Hope Church since 2007.

While at Hope Church, I have served helping at the Café, Early Family Childcare, on various construction projects, and assisting with building Easter and Christmas sets. I also have also enjoyed attending different events held by Hope Church like Men’s No Regrets Conferences and Dave Ramsey Financial University. I really enjoy the family atmosphere, worship service, bible based teaching and how our pastors can relate what God has to say in our current life. I really love that the mission of Hope Church is “Helping People Connect With God”. One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.”

I grew up on a dairy farm in Northwest Wisconsin. After high school, I attended college at UW Platteville. I met my wife Katie at college playing intramural sports. We have been married for 15 years and are proud parents to Evan (12) and Allie (9). We’ve lived near Lancaster, WI for the past 12 years.

I have worked as a Project Manager in commercial construction the past 18 years. I've worked on some local projects like: Carver Elementary School, Dalzell Field Renovations (at Senior High School) and the Dupaco Voices Renovation Project. For the last 3 years, I have enjoyed working at Gronen Restoration.

I enjoy spending time with family playing games, traveling, exploring the outdoors, hiking, downhill skiing, fishing and hunting. We also like going to Brewer games and watching the Packers, Badgers and Bucks.

I look forward to continuing to humbly serve on the Elder Board. I would ask that you pray for the Elder Board and leaders of Hope Church.

Yours Truly,

Matt Anderson
